Not seeing the road name you're driving on at the bottom of the navigation screen? And are you getting voice guidance to make left or right turns onto unnamed roads? What's probably going on is the navigation unit has a program in memory that's newer  than what's on the navigation DVD that's currently installed.

This could happen if someone was trying out a newer version DVD and then put the old one back in or, even worse, someone took the DVD and left an older version in its place.

To fix this problem, just unplug 8-pin connector C from the back of the navigation unit, wait 30 minutes,  and plug it back in. The navigation unit will then load the right program from the DVD currently installed. Refer to the applicable ETM or ISIS for that connector's exact location. Here's where it's at on an '06 TL:
