SERVICE INFORMATION

In January of this year, a new federal law kicked in that stretches out Daylight Saving Time (DST) by a full month. DST now starts on the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November. For this year, it meant clocks sprang forward at 2:00 a.m. on March 11th and will fall back at the same time on November 4th. (Last year, clocks sprang forward on April 2nd, and fell back on October 29th.)

In navigation systems that allow for DST, this poses a problem-the system doesn't know about the new DST schedule. Here's what you can do to ensure the correct time:

IMPORTANT: Before you start, make sure the vehicle is paired to a remote transmitter. You must use that remote transmitter to unlock the door before you set the clock. If, when you set the clock, the vehicle is in the Guest mode instead of the Driver 1 or Driver 2 mode, the clock will go back to its previous time as soon as you open the door with that paired remote.
  1. Go to the appropriate setup screen that's used to adjust the clock.
    • If the screen has a setting for Daylight Saving Time, turn off that setting and go to step 2.
    • If the screen doesn't have a setting for Daylight Saving Time, go to step 2.
  2. Set the clock to the correct time if needed.
