Service Information
We've seen a number of HandsFreeLink control units replaced that wound up being No Trouble Found (NTF) at inspection. To cut down on this, we've added this message to the part description in the parts catalog: "(PRIOR TO ORDERING, PLEASE CONTACT JCI AT 888-528-7876)." One of their friendly reps will give you some extra troubleshooting instructions to determine if the problem is actually control unit related or cell phone related.
We've found that most of the reported problems are cell phone related, so when you call, make sure you've got your service client's cell phone handy. If that's not possible, then write down the cell phone make, model, and carrier (for example, Motorola, MOTO W755, Verizon).
