IMPORTANT CHANGES TO LEGACY HDS IMMOBILIZER FUNCTIONS
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN
| ACURA: | All vehicles with immobilizer |
AFFECTED VEHICLES
All vehicles with immobilizer
Starting January 1, 2018, you will no longer be able to perform immobilizer functions within the legacy Honda Diagnostic System (HDS), such as adding, deleting, or replacing all lost keys. All immobilizer functions will be restricted to the Immobilizer Setup Tool on the i-HDS HOME menu .
This application features an easy-to-understand user interface for registering keys and remotes. Simply launch it from the home menu, and follow the prompts.
This change affects all vehicles supported by the legacy HDS, where key and immobilizer registration functions are contained within a vehicle-specific system menu.
Please distribute this information to all service department personnel who use the i-HDS.
