Tension Gauge Method

2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Tension Gauge Method
  1. Attach the appropriate belt tension gauge to the A/C compressor belt and measure the tension.
  2. Adjust belt to specifications. See A/C COMPRESSOR BELT ADJUSTMENT - TENSION GAUGE METHODΒ .
  3. Loosen the center nut of the idler pulley.
  4. Turn the adjusting bolt to get proper belt tension, then retighten the center nut.
  5. Recheck the tension of the A/C compressor belt.
