2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Deflection Method
  1. Apply a force of 22 lbs. (98 N), and measure the deflection between the generator and the crankshaft pulley.
  2. Adjust belt to specifications. See GENERATOR BELT ADJUSTMENT - DEFLECTION METHODΒ .
  3. Loosen the mounting bolt and the lock bolt.
  4. Move the generator by turning the adjusting rod to get proper belt tension, then retighten the bolts.
  5. Recheck the deflection of the A/C compressor belt.
