Deflection Method
2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Deflection Method
- Apply a force of 22 lbs. (98 N), and measure the deflection between the generator and the crankshaft pulley.
- Adjust belt to specifications. See GENERATOR BELT ADJUSTMENT - DEFLECTION METHOD .
- Loosen the mounting bolt and the lock bolt.
- Move the generator by turning the adjusting rod to get proper belt tension, then retighten the bolts.
- Recheck the deflection of the A/C compressor belt.
