- Check that the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) indicator light is not defective by turning ignition key to ON position. SRS indicator light will illuminate and go out after approximately 7 seconds for all models except the C70 Convertible, which is 3 seconds or the S40 and V40 models, which is 10 seconds. Ensure SRS indicator light in combined instrument panel is not constantly illuminated. Repair SRS fault if SRS light is constantly illuminated.
- If vehicle is equipped with Roll Over Protection (ROP) system, when the ignition is turned to ON position the ROP light should illuminate for approximately 5 seconds and then go out.
