2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION EVAP Emission Control System Monitor & Readiness Code

NOTE: Enable criteria includes: Battery voltage is 8 volts or higher. A/T in "N" or "P" position. Engine stopped.
  1. Connect Honda PGM Tester or the HDS to DLC. See Figure .
  2. Start engine. Select EVAP test in INSPECTION menu. Then select FUNCTION TEST.
  3. Check OBD status screen for EVAP DTCs P0442, P0456 and P0457 in the DTCs menu.
  4. If they are passed , the readiness code is set. If they are not passed, go to next step.
  5. If readiness code is not complete, check for a temporary DTC. If there is no DTC, one or more of enable criteria was not met; repeat procedure.
