- Locate stoplight switch, above brake pedal. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Using hand pressure, check brake pedal free play. See BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT & FREE PLAY . If brake pedal free play is not as specified, go to next step.
- Loosen stoplight switch lock nuts. Turn stoplight switch inward until plunger threaded end is touching pedal arm pad. See Figure . Back off switch 1/4 turn for TL, CL & RL, or 3/4 of a turn for MDX, until clearance between threaded end and pedal end is 0.01" (0.3 mm). On all models, tighten lock nuts. Ensure brakelights go off when pedal is released.
