VTEC solenoid valve is located at oil pump/oil filter adapter assembly.
- Disconnect VTEC solenoid valve 1-pin harness connector.
- Remove VTEC solenoid valve/oil filter assembly attaching bolts.
- Inspect filter behind VTEC solenoid valve and replace if necessary.
- To install reverse removal procedure. Use new "O" ring. Tighten valve to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . If VTEC solenoid valve filter was replaced, change engine oil and filter.
