2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Brake Switch

Disconnect brake switch 4-pin connector. With brake pedal depressed, continuity should exist between brake switch terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1 . With brake pedal released, continuity should exist between brake switch terminals No. 3 and 4. If continuity is not as specified, adjust brake pedal height and recheck brake switch operation. See DISC - MDX, 3.2CL, 3.2TL & 3.5RL article in BRAKES. If brake pedal height is okay, replace brake switch.
