  1. Push MENU key and select SET-UP. Check audio driving instructions volume setting. If volume setting is set to OFF, set volume to an audible level. If volume level is set at an audible level, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect navigation unit 16-pin connector "B" and audio unit 12-pin connector "C". Individually check for continuity between ground and navigation unit 16-pin harness connector "B" terminals No. 9 (White wire) and No. 10 (Black wire). See Fig 1 . If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, repair short to ground in appropriate wire between navigation unit and audio unit. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  .
  3. Check continuity of White wire between audio unit 12-pin harness connector "C" terminal No. 4 and navigation unit 16-pin harness connector "B" terminal No. 9. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in White wire between audio unit and navigation unit.
  4. Check for continuity between ground and navigation unit 16-pin harness connector "B" terminal No. 3 (Light Green wire). See Fig 1 . If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, repair short to ground in Light Green wire between navigation unit and audio unit. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  .
  5. Check continuity of Light Green wire between audio unit 12-pin harness connector "C" terminal No. 7 and navigation unit 16-pin harness connector "B" terminal No. 3. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Light Green wire between audio unit and navigation unit.
  6. Check continuity of Black wire between audio unit 12-pin harness connector "C" terminal No. 10 and navigation unit 16-pin harness connector "B" terminal No. 10. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire between audio unit and navigation unit. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  .
  7. Disconnect navigation unit 12-pin connector "A", audio unit 16-pin connector "A" and amplifier unit 12-pin connector "B". Amplifier unit is located at right front of luggage compartment. Check for continuity between ground and navigation unit 12-pin harness connector "A" terminal No. 8 (Yellow/Blue wire). See Fig 2 . If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, repair short to ground in Yellow/Blue wire between navigation unit, audio unit and amplifier unit.
  8. Check continuity of Yellow/Blue wire between audio unit 16-pin harness connector "A" terminal No. 6 and navigation unit 12-pin harness connector "A" terminal No. 8. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Yellow/Blue wire between audio unit and navigation unit. See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  .
  9. Substitute a known-good audio unit and recheck system. If system operates okay, replace original audio unit. If system does not operate okay, substitute a known-good amplifier unit. If system operates okay, replace original amplifier unit. If system does not operate okay, replace navigation unit.
