2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Global Positioning System (GPS) Limitations
GPS cannot detect vehicle position during the following conditions:
- The first 5 to 10 minutes after reconnecting battery.
- Blocked satellite signals due to tall buildings, mountains, tunnels, large trees or large trucks.
- Blocked GPS antenna (by objects on package shelf).
- No satellite signal output (satellite servicing).
- Satellite signal is blocked by electronic aftermarket component.
GPS precision is reduced under following conditions:
- Only 2 satellite signals are received (three satellite signals are needed to accurately locate position).
- Satellite control center purposely lowers signal precision.
