Grid Filament Repair
2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Grid Filament Repair
NOTE:
For repair to be effective, broken section must not be longer than 1" (25 mm).
- Rub area around break with fine steel wool. Clean area with alcohol. Carefully mask area above and below broken portion with masking tape. See Fig 1 .
- Using small brush, apply heavy coat of thoroughly-mixed silver conductive paint, extending 1/8" (3 mm) on both sides of break. Allow 30 minutes to dry.
- Check for proper operation. See GRID FILAMENTΒ under COMPONENT TESTS. Apply second coat of silver conductive paint. Allow 3 hours to dry. Remove tape.
