2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Operation

If anti-theft system is activated, the horns will sound and a combination of headlights, side marker lights, parking lights, and taillights will flash. See Figure and Figure . System activation will last for approximately 2 minutes or until system is turned off. Anti-theft system will be activated when:

  • Any door or trunk is forcibly opened (without using a key or remote transmitter).

Courtesy and ceiling lights will go out immediately if remote transmitter LOCK button is pressed within 30 seconds.

The trunk can be opened by pushing and holding TRUNK button for one second. If key is in ignition switch, trunk will not open. When doors lock or unlock, system will verify by a beep or two beeps if UNLOCK is pressed twice. Parking lights, side marker lights and taillights will flash once if locked, twice if unlocked. The beep can be programmed on or off by pressing and holding TRUNK release button and then pressing LOCK button within one second. LED on transmitter should illuminate for one second and then go out. Release LOCK button after light goes out. To turn beep function back on, repeat procedure. LED will blink twice.

PANIC mode can be cancelled by pressing any button on transmitter or by turning the ignition switch to ON position. Panic mode will not activate if ignition switch is in ON position.
