2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Catalytic Converter Codes

NOTE:
  • Do not turn ignition switch off.
  • When negative battery cable is disconnected, all readiness codes are cleared.
  • When ECM/PCM is cleared with scan tool, all readiness codes are cleared.

Ensure ambient temperature is 20-95Β°F (-7-35Β°C).

  1. Connect scan tool to DLC. Start engine and hold at 3000 RPM with no load until radiator fan comes on.
  2. Drive vehicle for about 10 minutes, without stopping, on a highway. Speed can vary.
  3. With A/T in "D" position, M/T in 5th gear, drive at steady speed between 50 and 62 MPH for 30 seconds.
  4. Repeat step Β 4 three times. Between each repetition, close throttle completely for 1-2 seconds. If engine is stopped during this part of procedure, go to step Β 2 and start again.
  5. Using scan tool, check readiness codes.
