2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Variable Valve Timing Control (VTC) Oil Control Solenoid Valve (RSX)

Disconnect 2-pin connector from VTC oil control solenoid valve. Remove retaining bolt. Remove VTC oil control solenoid valve. Measure clearance between port on retard side and valve. See Fig 1 . Clearance should be more than 1mm. Connect battery positive to terminal No. 2 and battery negative to terminal No. 1. Measure clearance between port on advance side and valve. Clearance should be more than 1mm. Disconnect 2-pin connector from VTC oil control solenoid valve.
