2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Deflection Method
NOTE: If the belt is worn or damaged, replace it.

Apply a force of 22 Lbs. (98 N) and measure the deflection between the alternator and crankshaft pulley. See Fig 1Deflection:

  • Used Belt:37 -.45" (9.5 -11.5 mm)
  • New Belt:28 -.31" (7.0 - 8.0 mm)
