Multiplex Control Unit Input: 3.2TL

  1. Remove driver's underdash fuse/relay box. See DRIVER'S UNDERDASH FUSE/RELAY BOXΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove driver's multiplex control unit from driver's underdash fuse/relay box. Disconnect driver's multiplex control unit 22-pin connector. Inspect connectors and terminals. Check for bent, loose, or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary and recheck system operation. If connectors and terminals are okay, go to next step.
  2. With driver's multiplex control unit disconnected, perform driver's underdash fuse/relay box socket and driver's multiplex control unit input tests. See Fig 1 . Repair as necessary and recheck system operation. If driver's multiplex control unit inputs are okay, go to next step.
  3. Remove passenger's underdash fuse/relay box. See PASSENGER'S UNDERDASH FUSE/RELAY BOXΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove passenger's multiplex control unit from passenger's underdash fuse/relay box. Disconnect passenger's multiplex control unit 22-pin connector. Inspect connectors and terminals. Check for bent, loose, or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary and recheck system operation. If connectors and terminals are okay, go to next step.
  4. With passenger's multiplex control unit disconnected, perform tests specified at passenger's underdash fuse/relay box sockets and multiplex control unit connector. See Fig 2 . If any problem is found, find and correct cause and recheck system operation. If all tests prove okay, replace passenger's multiplex control unit and recheck system operation.
