Control Unit Removal/Installation
2003 Acura MDX TouringSECTION Control Unit Removal/Installation
- Remove the center console (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Remove the rear blower motor (see REAR BLOWER MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
- Loosen the bolts that secure the OnStar control unit and bracket (E) to the shift lever base assembly, then slide the control unit and bracket forward to remove it.
- Disconnect the 22P and 16P connector (A), the antenna lead 2P connector (B), and the antenna lead 1P connector (C) from the OnStar control unit (D).
- Remove the bracket from the control unit.
- Install the control unit in the reverse order of removal.NOTE: Replacement units are in the Shipping Mode and will need to be switched to Market Mode (see TRANSITIONING THE ONSTAR CONTROL UNIT TO MARKET MODEΒ ).
