DTC P0133: Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S-1) Slow Response

2001 Acura Integra GS, 2D Coupe, StandardSECTION DTC P0133: Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S-1) Slow Response
NOTE: If DTC P0131, P0132 and/or P0135 are set, trouble shoot those DTCs before proceeding.
  1. Perform PCM reset procedure. See PCM RESET PROCEDURE/CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODESΒ  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Start engine and run at 3000 RPM, with no loads and transmission in Park or Neutral, until radiator fan comes on. Allow engine to idle. Connect SCS Service Connector (07PAZ-0010100). See Figure. Test drive vehicle at 55 MPH, with transmission in "D4" position (A/T) or 5th gear (M/T), until readiness code comes on.
  2. If DTC P0133 resets, replace H02S-1. If DTC P0133 does not reset, problem is intermittent. System is functioning properly at this time. Check for poor connections or loose wire(s) between H02S-1 4-pin connector terminal No. 1 and PCM 31-pin connector terminal No. 16 (White wire) and between H02S-1 4-pin connector terminal No. 2 (Green/Black) and PCM 31-pin connector terminal No. 18 (Green/Blue wire) and between H02S-1 4-pin connector terminal No. 4 (Black/White wire) and PCM 31-pin terminal connector No. 1 (Orange/Black wire). Repair as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
