Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

1998 Acura CL V6-3.0L SOHC (VTEC)SECTION Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT
1. Move the the auto-tensioner to remove tension from alternator belt, then remove the alternator belt.
2. Loosen the adjusting bolt, locknut and mounting then remove the power steering (P/S) pump.
3. Remove the dipstick and tube.
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
5. Remove the upper and lower covers.

NOTE: Do not use the upper and lower covers to removed items.





6. Remove the CKP sensor from the oil pump.
7. Install the CKP sensor in reverse order of removal.
