Service Information

All Honda Interface Modules (HIMs) with the model number 3557-0100-00 require a software update to ensure correct operation. Installing this update improves communication.

PARTS INFORMATION

Each dealer's service manager will be automatically shipped one free HIM update package. This package includes installation instructions, model label, and the software update on a plug-in board.

PROCEDURE

  1. Check if the HIM model number is 3557-0100-00Β  and requires an update. If it does not have this model number, this service bulletin does not apply.
  2. Touch a grounded metal object to free yourself of any static electricity before handling the HIM.
  3. Remove the four screws from the back of the HIM, and then carefully remove the back cover.

  4. Using your thumbs, push the plug-in board securely into the HIM expansion connector.
