- Apply a force of 22 lbs. (98 N), and measure the deflection between the A/C compressor and the crankshaft pulley.
- Adjust belt to specifications. See A/C COMPRESSOR BELT ADJUSTMENT - DEFLECTION METHODΒ .
- Loosen the center nut of the idler pulley.
- Turn the adjusting bolt to get proper belt tension, then retighten the center nut.
- Recheck the deflection of the A/C compressor belt.
