Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Fuel Cut-Off
During deceleration, with throttle valve closed and engine speed more than a preset value, voltage to fuel injectors is cut off. This is to reduce exhaust emissions. Voltage to fuel injectors is also cut off whenever engine speed exceeds a preset value, regardless of throttle valve position. This is to protect engine from over-revving. See ENGINE SPEED FUEL INJECTOR CUT-OFFΒ .
