Remote Transmitter Test

- Ensure ignition key is not inserted in ignition switch. Close all doors. Press lock or unlock button on remote transmitter. If LED illuminates and doors do not lock or unlock, go to next step. If LED does not illuminate, replace Battery (CR2025). Press lock or unlock button on remote transmitter. If doors lock or unlock, remote transmitter is okay. If doors do not lock or unlock, use a known-good remote transmitter. If doors lock or unlock, replace original transmitter.NOTE: When pressing PANIC or TRUNK button, hold button for longer than one second.
- If door locks do not respond, input a new remote transmitter code. See INPUTTING REMOTE TRANSMITTER CODESΒ under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Press lock or unlock button on remote transmitter. If doors lock or unlock, remote transmitter is okay. If doors do not lock or unlock, use a known good remote transmitter and input a new remote transmitter code. If doors lock or unlock, replace keyless receiver unit. If doors do not lock or unlock, check passenger's multiplex control unit or control unit wire harness. See MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEMS article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.
