Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

1998 Acura 3.5RL Special EditionSECTION Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor
  1. ECT sensor is located in coolant pipe, near throttle body and contains a Red/White wire and Green/White wire in the harness connector. See Figure .
  2. Disconnect harness connector from ECT sensor. Using ohmmeter, check sensor resistance in accordance with engine coolant temperature. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR RESISTANCEΒ  table. Replace ECT sensor if resistance is not as specified.
