DTC P0111: IAT Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem

1998 Acura 3.5RL Special EditionSECTION DTC P0111: IAT Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem
NOTE: As intake air temperature increases, IAT sensor resistance decreases.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor 2-pin connector and remove IAT sensor. Reconnect sensor connector. Ensure sensor is exposed to ambient air temperature. Turn ignition on. Using a scan tool, check IAT sensor data. If ambient air temperature is indicated, go to next step. If ambient temperature is not indicated, replace IAT sensor.
  2. Using a hair dryer, warm IAT sensor. Using scan tool, check IAT sensor data. If IAT sensor temperature increases 1.8Β°F (1.0Β°C) or more, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. If IAT sensor temperature does not increase as specified, replace IAT sensor.
