Trunk Latch Switch Test

1998 Acura 3.5RL Special EditionSECTION Trunk Latch Switch Test

Open trunk lid and remove trunk lid inner trim. Disconnect trunk latch Gray 6-pin connector. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between trunk switch connector terminals No. 2 (Blue/Green wire) and No. 6 (Black/Red wire). See Fig 1 . Continuity should exist when trunk lid lever is released (trunk lid open). Continuity should not exist when trunk lid lever is depressed (trunk lid closed). If continuity is not as specified, replace trunk latch switch.
