Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, check throttle position. With throttle valve fully closed, if TP percentage is not 17.6 percent or less on with M/T, or 16.5 percent or less on with A/T, replace TP sensor. If TP percentage is as specified, problem is intermittent, system is okay at this time.
