DTC Troubleshooting: B1011

DTC B1011:

MICU Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (VSP/NE Message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1011 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the MICU and the gauge control module.�

5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B1060, B1205, B1357, B1805, and/or B2160 also indicated with DTC B1011?

YES -

Do the gauge control module input test Gauge Control Module Input Test.�

NO -

Do the MICU input test MICU Input Test.�

DTC Troubleshooting: B1060, B1061

DTC B1060:

Relay Control Module Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (VSP/NE Message)

DTC B1061:

Relay Control Module Lost Communication with Gauge Control Module (A/T Message)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).

3. Wait for at least 6 seconds.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B1060 and/or B1061 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the relay control module and the gauge control module.�

5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B1011, B1060, B1061, B1205, B1357, B1359, B1805, B1808, B1906, B1956, B2160, and U0155 all indicated?

YES -

Do the gauge control module input test Gauge Control Module Input Test.�

NO -

Do the relay control module input test Relay Control Module Input Test.�
