DTC B1055: Relay Control Module Lost Communication with MICU

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and then back ON (II).
3. Wait for 6 seconds.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1055 indicated?

YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure, the communication line is OK at this time.

5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B1157, B1255, B1605, B1806, B2107, and B2155 also indicated?

YES - Go to the MICU input test. MICU Input Test

NO - Go to the relay control module input test. Relay Control Module Input Test

DTC B1255: Combination Switch Control Unit Lost Communication With MICU

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and then back ON (II).
3. Wait for 6 seconds.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1255 indicated?

YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Intermittent failure, MICU is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connection at combination switch control unit connector (8P), and at driver's under-dash fuse/relay box connector N (45P). If the connections are good, check the battery condition and the charging system.

5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Are DTCs B1055, B1157, B1605, B1806, B2107, and B2155 also indicated?

YES - Go to MICU Input Test. MICU Input Test

NO - Replace the combination switch control unit.
