There is a parking assistance system to assist parking. The parking assistance module (PAM) manages components in the system and communication with other control modules.

The control module is located under the cargo compartment floor by the right wheel housing.

The parking assistance module (PAM) communicates with directly connected components and with other control modules via the controller area network (CAN).

The control module monitors input and output signals through integrated diagnostics. A diagnostic trouble code is generated when the control module detects a fault. Any diagnostic trouble codes are stored in the control module memory. The information can be read off.

The parking assistance system is available in two versions: Either with only parking sensors rear or with parking sensors both front and rear.
