The High Level Display Front (HLDF) consists of a 6.5 inch color screen installed in a frame. The frame is raised to, and lowered from, the transport /storage position by electric motors. The control module has three video inputs and a CAN connection.

One of the video inputs is the RGB type and is always connected to the Multimedia module (MMM). The other two inputs are not used but allow the connection of accessories in the future.

High Level Display Front (HLDF) does not have any sensors or other components connected to it, except video input 1 (RGB) where the multimedia module (MMM) is connected. High Level Display Front (HLDF) receives navigation information from the multimedia module (MMM) via this input. The multimedia (MMM) transmits information to the High Level Display Front (HLDF) via analog transfer (RGB video signal).

The navigation menu system on the screen can be controlled using the navigation buttons on the rear of the steering wheel or using the navigation remote control for the screen. The receiver for the remote control, the IR eye, is installed on the infotainment control module (ICM).
