The system for seat ventilation consists of four parts:Β

  • a seat heating module (SHM) which controls the heater pads and the ventilation fans as well as the function for communicating with the climate control module (CCM)
  • two heater pads
  • a temperature sensor
  • two seat fans.

The seat heating module (SHM), ventilation is located under the left and right-hand front seats. The heater pads are in the seat and backrest. The temperature sensor is in the seat. The fans, like the heater pads, are located in the seat and in the backrest. The fan speed is individually adjustable for each fan. Possible speeds are 0 to 7000 RPM.

The heater pad and temperature sensor are directly connected to the seat heating module (SHM), ventilation. The seat heating module (SHM), ventilation communicates with the climate control module (CCM) via a LIN bus.

There are diagnostics for seat heating module (SHM) ventilation left and seat heating module (SHM), ventilation right.
