Audio Module (AUD) (2012): Design: Loudspeakers
High Performance and High Performance Multimedia
High Performance and High Performance Multimedia are equipped with 8 speakers, bass/mid-range and separate treble speakers. The speakers are installed in the front and rear doors, respectively.
Impedance is 2 Ω for the bass/mid-range speakers and 5 Ω for the tweeters.
Premium Sound Multimedia
Premium Sound Multimedia features 11 speakers and a subwoofer with two speakers (only XC60 from and incl. structure week 201046).
A 3-way speaker system is installed in each front door consisting of separate bass, mid-range and treble speakers. A 2-way speaker system is installed in each rear door consisting of bass/mid-range speakers and separate treble speakers. To improve the sound and to amplify sound reproduction there is also a 2-way mid-range/treble speaker installed in the instrument panel.
The subwoofer is located under the floor in the luggage compartment (only XC60 from and incl. structure week 201046).
Impedance is 4 Ω for the bass speakers, 8 Ω for mid-range and 6 Ω for the tweeters. The center speaker and the subwoofer have an impedance of 4 Ω.
