- Wait 3 minutes after the ignition has been switched off. The main relay must be voltage free beforeΒ
the control module can be removed from the vehicle. If the engine cooling fan (FC) runs on after the ignition has been switched off, wait until it stops and then wait for a further 3 minutesNOTE: Do not touch the engine control module (ECM) terminal pins with your fingers. Static electricity may damage components in the engine control module (ECM).
- Carefully disconnect the engine control module (ECM) from the adapter cable harness
- Carefully disconnect the adapter from the vehicle cable harness
- Remove the cover.
