Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Safety Level
The value indicates the present safety level of the brake control module (BCM). The safety level changes depending on which diagnostic functions are activated by VIDA in the control module. VIDA automatically selects the correct safety level depending on the diagnostic function. The activation of components/functions and calibration can only be performed at level 1 or 2.
Basic level = Normal position.
Level 1 = Safety level 1 activated.
Level 2 = Safety level 2 activated.
