2001 Volvo S80 BaseFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

Front Measurement

  1. Check that the instruments are adjusted in relation to each other on the front and rear axles. Front wheel toe-in is adjusted in relation to the car's thrust line. Thrust line is the line created when the rear wheels toe-in angles are equally divided. See Fig 1 .
  2. The difference between the wheel symmetry line and the thrust line is called the thrust angle. This angle may deviate by a maximum of 15Β° from the symmetry line.
  3. Center and lock steering wheel. Check the front wheel toe-in. Check measurement against specification. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONSΒ  . Adjust as needed. See TOE-IN ADJUSTMENTΒ  .
