Engine Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
1. Remove battery cables and battery.
2. Remove air cleaner with intake manifold.
3. Remove battery tray.
4. Remove air cleaner bracket.
5. Disassemble transaxle connector.
6. Remove connector from transaxle.
7. Remove cable clamps around cable harness and rubber grommet.
8. Remove sockets from connector casing.
9. Remove socket for RPM sensor cables from connector.
10. Remove engine speed sensor.
11. Apply vaseline to new sensor O-ring and install new sensor.
12. Assemble transaxle connector and install into connector casing.
13. Install connector in vehicle.
14. Install air cleaner bracket, battery tray and air cleaner with intake manifold and connections.
15. Install battery.
