Seat Position Sensor: Removal: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (w/o Seatback Board) 
  4. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (w/o Seatback Board)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  5. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK COVER (w/o Seatback Board)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/o Seatback Board)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (w/ Seatback Board) 
  8. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (w/ Seatback Board)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  9. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (w/ Seatback Board) 

    for 2WD: Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5

    for 4WD: Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seatback Board)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  11. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE (w/o Seatback Board)  . Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 2
  12. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (w/o Seatback Board)  . Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 3
  13. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (w/o Seatback Board)  . Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 4
  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (w/o Seatback Board)  . Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 5
  15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH (w/ Seatback Board)  . Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 4
  16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (w/ Seatback Board)  . Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 5
  17. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
