2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL: ECM: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM

(a) Install the 2 ECM brackets onto the ECM with the 4 screws.





(b) Install the ECM with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(c) Connect the 2 ECM connectors.





(1) Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.

NOTICE:
* When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not get caught between the connectors and other parts.
* Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.
(d) Install the wire harness clamp.





2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE Installation

3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

HINT
Initialization cannot be completed by only removing the cable from the battery.

(a) Perform Reset Memory (AT initialization) when replacing the ECM. (for Automatic Transaxle)

* (for U250E)
* Programming and Relearning (for U140F)
(b) Perform Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM Programming and Relearning.
