Power Mirror Control System: Inspection
- INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY
- Left side for left/right adjustment switch:
Measure the resistance of the mirror switch.
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION (1 OF 2)Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition - OFF 10 kΩ or higher 4-8 6-7 UP Below 1 Ω 4-7 6-8 DOWN Below 1 Ω 5-8 6-7 LEFT Below 1Ω 5-7 6-8 RIGHT Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
- Right side for left/right adjustment switch:
Measure the resistance of the mirror switch.
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION (2 OF 2)Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition - OFF 10 kΩ or higher 3-8 UP Below 1 Ω 6-7 3-7 DOWN Below 1Ω 6-8 2-8 LEFT Below 1Ω 6-7 2-7 RIGHT Below 1Ω 6-8 If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
- Left side for left/right adjustment switch:
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH
- Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
- Apply battery voltage and inspect the mirror motor face operation.MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION (1 OF 2)
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) - MV (3) Turns upward (A) Battery negative (-) - Com (2) Battery positive (+) - Com (2) Turns downward (B) Battery negative (-) - MV (3) Battery positive (+) - Com (2) Turns left (C) Battery negative (-) - MH (1) Battery positive (+)-MH(1) Turns right (D) Battery negative (-) - Com (2) If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH
- Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
