Engine Idle Speed: Inspection
- Install Conditions
- Air cleaner installed
- All pipes and hoses of air induction system connected
- All vacuum lines properly connected
- EFI system wiring connectors fully plugged
- All operating accessories switched OFF
- Ignition timing check correctly
- Transmission in parking range
- Air conditioning switched OFF
- Activate Inspection Mode And Warm Up Engine (See PRECAUTION )
- Connect Toyota Hand-Held Tester
- Connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Please refer to the TOYOTA hand-held tester operator's manual for further details.
- Inspect Idle Speed
- Race the engine at 2,250 rpm for approx. 90 seconds.
- Check the idle speed.
Idle speed (w/ Cooling fan OFF):
1,000 +/- 50 rpm
NOTE: At the accelerator opening angle of 60% or more, the engine speed is controlled at 2,250 rpm.If the idle speed is not as specified, check the air intake system.
- Stop Engine
- Disconnect Toyota Hand-Held Tester
