Camshaft Position Sensor Resistance: RAV4
- Disconnect electrical connector from camshaft position sensor. Camshaft position sensor is located at timing belt end of cylinder head, on the firewall side of the engine. See Figure-32. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between electrical terminals on camshaft position sensor.
- Ensure camshaft position sensor resistance is within specification. See CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE table. Replace camshaft position sensor if resistance is not within specification. See REMOVE/INSTALL/OVERHAUL article. Reinstall electrical connector on camshaft position sensor.
