Air Suction System: Description
Air suction system uses exhaust gas pulses to draw air into the exhaust manifold or catalytic converter to help complete oxidation of emissions. See Figure- Figure. The air suction system on California Pickup (Carbureted) models is computer controlled and therefore is closely tied with the carburetor/fuel feedback control system. See Figure- Figure . When to See a Mechanic
