ECT Sensor Inspection

Check ECT sensor resistance as follows.
- Check resistance between terminals "1" and "2". Make sure its resistance decreases as its temperature increases.
If measured resistance is out of specification, replace ECT sensor (1).






ECT sensor resistance
-20 °C (-4 °F): 13.51 - 16.17 kOhms
20 °C (68 °F): 2.290 - 2.620 kOhms
80 °C (176 °F): 0.309 - 0.331 kOhms
