Security Alarm Mode Selection Procedure
Security alarm mode can be selected by performing the following procedure.
NOTE: Security alarm mode can also be selected by setting change function of SUZUKI scan tool.
1. Confirm that all doors are closed, hood is closed, trunk lid is closed, all doors are unlocked and lighting switch OFF.
2. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
3. Perform the following steps within 15 seconds.
a. Turn lighting switch to "CLEARANCE" position.
b. Turn lighting switch to "OFF" position.
c. Repeat Step a and b 3 times.
d. Operate driver door lock knob (1) to "LOCK" position.
e. Operate driver door lock knob to "UNLOCK" position.
f. Repeat Step d and e once.
g. Operate driver door lock knob to "LOCK" position.

4. When Step 3 is completed, the mode changes automatically. Warning buzzer (in combination meter) sounds by the number of specified for each mode as follows.
- Changed from "Passive" mode to "Active" mode: Buzzer sounds 4 times.
- Changed from "Active" mode to "Passive" mode: Buzzer sounds once.
