ORVR System Note
To identify whether the vehicle is equipped with On-Board Refueling Vapor Recovery (ORVR) system or not equipped with it, check EVAP canister for installation position. If it is installed in front of fuel tank, the vehicle has ORVR system. If it is installed in engine room, the vehicle has no ORVR system.
EVAP Leak Check System Note
This vehicle is equipped with EVAP leak check module for evaporative emission leakage check. (For more details, refer to EVAP Leak Check System Description:H27 Engine.)
ECM performs evaporative emission leak check by operating the EVAP leak detecting pump in EVAP leak check module.
This leak check is performed approximately five hours after the ignition switch turned off. During this leak check, it may hear sound (motor or pump) coming from some components for several minutes. This sound is normal and it does not indicate a malfunction.
