Engine Control Module (ECM) Removal And Installation

Engine Control Module (ECM) Removal

1. Remove the battery.




2. Remove the ECM bracket nuts.
3. Disconnect the ECM connector.




4. Remove the ECM retaining nuts and the ECM.

Engine Control Module (ECM) Installation

1. Installation should follow the removal procedure in the reverse order.




2. Install the ECM.

Tighten:
Tighten the ECM retaining nuts to 10 ~ 14 N.m (89 ~ 124 lb.in).




3. Tighten the ECM bracket nuts.

Tighten:
Tighten the ECM bracket nuts to 10 ~ 14 N.m (89 ~ 124 lb.in).
